Our Story
It began with a simple idea.
We wanted to remind our loved ones that they are perfect the way they are. We wanted that message to be kept with them at all times and have them be reminded that they are beautiful, lovely..simply perfect.
The intention was to create something that was affordable by many and had a positive impact on most. Simply engraving jewelry with beautiful words, sounded rather backwards in this age of wearables but it seemed perfect for this mission. Hence beautiful jewelry, with a touching message that means, "You are beautiful just the way you are" was born.
We want to make an impact
Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Everyone is beautiful in their own way and there is no right or wrong to being beautiful. We believe that true beauty is earned and being confident about being beautiful is the first step. We want to live in a society where individuality is respected and beauty is cherished. We definitely do not want to be in a society where beauty is judged by mere factors such as height, weight, size, and etc. You can help make a difference. It may be a small one, but we sure believe it will be an impactful one.
Our Mission
BE.ARUM promotes a simple and powerful message that "You are beautiful as you are."
Through a beautiful medium, in the shape of jewelry, and beautiful Korean lettering, our goal is to create something that is affordable by many and has a positive impact on most. Thus, widely delivering our simple yet important message.
We have a strong belief that everybody is beautiful just the way they are. It is our mission to remind them of this message.
Who We Are
We are two designers based in Seoul, Korea.
Hyun Kyung is jewelry designer specializing in metalsmithing. Zunho is a communications designer specializing in copywriting. With this combination it was natural to build a product that told a moving story.
Hyun Kyung Park (hyunparkjewelry.com) is a jeweler, a metalsmith, and a designer. She attained her Bachelor’s degree at the Rhode Island School of Design, concentrating in Jewelry and Metalsmithing, and Master's degree at State University of New York at New Paltz, Metals Program.
Zunho is a communications designer, marketer, and entrepreneur. He brings experience attained from MNCs marketing mobile products on a global scale. He attained his Bachelor's degree in Economics at Carleton College, a prestigious liberal arts college in Minnesota, USA.
